Randall J. Trost

Mr. Randall J. Trost is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. He received a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering in 1966 and a Masters of Science in Nuclear Engineering in 1967. He was employed for the Babcock & Wilcox Company during the period of 1967 through 1982. Mr. Trost's specific experience at that company included engineering design, nuclear fuel marketing for the Western United States, contract project management, and quality assurance.

Mr. Trost returned to Washington & Lee University School of Law while still employed and graduated with a Juris Doctorate in 1977. He then established a law practice in Lynchburg, Virginia, which focused upon civil litigation and criminal defense. He also offers legal services in Spanish.

Mr. Trost is an active member of the American Bar Association, the Virginia State Bar, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Marine Corp League-Lynchburg-Detachment. He currently hosts an FM program entitled "Your Legal System at Work". In the past he has been a member of the American Society of Tool and Manufacturing Engineers, the American Nuclear Society, and the Board of Directors for the charitable organization "Our Daily Bread".


Randy T. Trost

Mr. Randy T. Trost is a graduate of the University of Virginia. He received his Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering in 1990 with a concentration in Business Management. He was employed for Mobil Oil Corporation from 1990 through 2000.

Mr. Trost’s responsibilities at Mobil included Marketing Planning, Decision Support, and RFID Payment Project Management. Like his father, Mr. Trost returned to law school while employed. Mr. Trost received his Juris Doctorate in 1999 from The Catholic University of America. He returned to Lynchburg in 2001 to join the family law practice with his father and sister. Mr. Trost practices civil litigation and criminal defense.

Mr. Trost is an active member of the American Bar Association, the Virginia Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Lynchburg Bar Association, Campbell County Bar Association, and the Fraternal Order of Police.


Virginia V. Trost Thornton

Ms. Virginia Trost-Thornton is a graduate of Lynchburg College. She received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1993. She was employed for Rubatex Corporation from 1993 through 1995.

While at Rubatex, Ms. Thornton’s responsibilities included quality analysis of polymers. Ms. Thornton returned to law school and received her Juris Doctorate in 1999 from Regent University. Ms. Thornton practices civil litigation.

Ms. Thornton is an active member of the American Bar Association, the Virginia Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the Lynchburg Bar Association, and Campbell County Bar Association. Ms. Thornton has served on the Board of Governors for the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the Board of Directors for the YMCA, the Board of Directors for New Vistas School.
